My wife was recently treated in the Heart and Vascular unit and I want to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for the outstanding care we both received. While everyone in the organization from the time we entered the front door, including the parking attendant, displayed a very professional, sincere and caring manner, which hospitals and companies strive for, those that need to know are often not aware of individuals that have such a positive impact on the entire organization. While teamwork is important, there is occasionally someone on the team that exceeds expectations and truly represents what it's all about, "Patient and Family Care". Kayla Work is that individual.
Once my wife came back to her room after the procedure, Kayla began caring for her. She explained what she was doing in a professional manner and never strayed from her nursing duties. She always maintained a positive attitude and had excellent communication skills. She made sure that all of my wife's paperwork was completed in preparation for her release before her shift ended. She was scheduled to release at 9:44 PM and Kayla assured me that my wife would not be released unless she met all the requirements to be released.
We express our appreciation to all her mentors, trainers and the entire Heart and Vascular team for a job well done.
