Kelly Bahr certainly made tough times into daisies for me every day. I came into their hospital with a severely broken left leg. There was no room for me on the orthopedic unit, so Kelly took care of me, she even devised a brilliant contraption to keep my leg stable and elevated to reduce swelling. She used an IV bag holder and some straps to elevate the leg. The doctors were all so impressed with her method that they wanted to adopt the method into the ortho ward.
Beyond that, Kelly took the time to explain the medications I was given in a way that allowed me to make informed decisions on how to control my pain and use less. She was always kind, positive, respectful, and real. I really appreciated her talent, her compassion, and creativity, her relentless drive to solve my acute problems and take smart risks that paid off. Also, her kindness, compassion, and instincts far surpassed any of the other nurses I have dealt with.
