My mother was in the ICU with pneumonia, UTI, sepsis, and multiple infections. Her heart went into Afib RVR and nurse Kelly had been taking care of her on the previous day. Kelly had been making her rounds and would pop in every once in a while to check on my mother. My mother was in the middle of a breathing treatment when she went into cardiac arrest, Code Blue, for the first time. She went into cardiac arrest 4 more times throughout the night. I watched while Kelly commanded the team of nurses to save my mother's life time after time. I understand all nurses are great, but I can tell Kelly was special, like the Payton Manning of nurses.

Then, Kelly helped with understanding the process of flying my mom to Round Rock by helicopter. Kelly kept calm and ensured us my mom would be okay while helping with the prep to transport to Round Rock. I and my family truly believe that without Kelly, my mom would not be here right now. Kelly is definitely a Star!
