Kelsey is such an asset to the ICU. She always comes to work and gives 110%. She is always on top of things, responding to call lights, answering phones, and managing all her daily tasks with enthusiasm and expertise. Kelsey goes above and beyond for patients' families, ensuring they know what is going on and what to expect. She also does the same for her co-workers, making herself available to help and always going to lunch last. Kelsey also volunteers as the treasurer of our local AACN chapter, putting in countless hours to put together a trauma conference for the community. Also, she has redone our hemodynamics class that is provided for new grads and new hires and has taken on teaching the class as well. Kelsey lets nothing stand in her way of taking the absolute highest quality of care to her patients no matter how badly she is treated by patients. Nothing phases her professional and caring demeanor. She also is a member of the ICU's CSI team and works an extra 8 hours a month to develop a nurse-driven protocol for early mobility.
