I am truly grateful to have had her as my daughter's nurse.
When we first got moved from the PICU, her taper was almost off, and she began neurostorming. For those of y'all that do not know what neurostorming is, it is part of healing and hard to watch as a parent ("rewiring of the brain"). Kendall advocated so greatly on her behalf and would not stop until doctors came to her bedside and proper medications were ordered. Trust me, it is very nightmarish to see as a parent. Through Kendall's experience, she knew that neurostorming was not supposed to look that severe. I am truly grateful for her and those early moments of the tapering off/neurostorming. She has also definitely gone above and beyond to make "A's" day, especially her love of earthworms. I am truly grateful to have had her as my daughter's nurse; it makes me feel comfortable if I wanted to go out and take a walk (We have been at ETCH for 3 weeks now). That is just a great feeling as a parent to have that trust when your child cannot speak or move much. I am thrilled that she is a team member here, and my family, as well as other families, receive care from here.
