Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have had Kendra as my nurse. I came into Brigham on May 7th at 32 weeks pregnant to learn that our baby had died. We were, of course, in shock and overwhelmed with how many decisions we had to make in a very short time period. Kendra was our saving grace.
She was so patient and kind and thoughtful during pretty much the worst day of our lives. The compassion and support she showed to us and our son that day was priceless. From holding my hand during the epidural to taking the time to translate what the doctors were asking us, to having everyone pause when she could see I was getting overwhelmed meant the world to me. She listened, never judged, never rushed, and showed us so much love, understanding, and support. We have been to Brigham a lot. I delivered our other two children there, had surgery for an ectopic surgery there among other things and I always tell people Brigham and Women is the best, I love this hospital even during the worst reasons for why I am there and every nurse I have encountered has been amazing. So to say that Kendra was instrumental in helping me keep my sanity when I know how amazing all of the nurses are says something. I can never thank her enough for helping me during this terrible time.
