Kevin was the circulator for a triage care; out of that tragedy, he was able to create some special memories for a family. Kevin's case involved a 33-week pregnant car accident victim. Unfortunately, the child did not survive the trauma, and ultimately the mother passed as well. The baby was delivered, and the coroner arrived to pick up the baby. Kevin stopped the coroner, stating that the family needed to be with the baby first. Kevin brought the grandfather of the baby into the OR and let him hold the baby. The grandfather was able to Skype the father/husband so that he could see his child. To quote Kevin, "this was important for the family to see the baby before the coroner touched them." Kevin gave this family a positive moment in a horrendous day by letting them meet, if only briefly, a member of their family.
