I was in ICU for a severe, life-threatening condition, under the influence of medications, and unaware of what was occurring. The following is a synopsis of the performance of Nurse Kevin Ronne during this time, as related to me by my wife, as well as my observation on 3rd floor while in recovery.
Nurse Ronne was all over the ICU Room while I was in crisis, monitoring instruments intently and encouraging my wife, repeatedly. At one point, he appeared to be more intense and then chose and performed in a timely action which purportedly, in so many words, saved my life.
While in ICU recovery, I distinctly remember Nurse Ronne visiting me and inquiring about my condition. The next week, while recovering on 3rd floor, I recall Nurse Ronne's smiling face, peeking into my room, asking how I was doing, and conversing with me. A DAISY Award, please, for this wonderful person. Thank you, Mary Lanning!

I apologize for the lateness of this nomination. My husband spent his final days on ICU and the loving care he received was phenomenal!! All the nurses were excellent but Kevin stands out as the most important to mine and my husband's wellbeing. He's definitely a keeper! He ensured that not only my husband was well cared for, but allowed me to spend some very special time with my husband.
