Kristin didn't let him go down that path and encouraged him to fight.
Kristin is a nurse who you want on your team. She gives a lot to herself as a nurse, to her co-workers in lending a helping hand, and to the unit by being an active member of the acute care shared governance team.
When COVID-19 first started, the team was facilitating the different and multiple daily changes; Kristin took on the challenge of caring for the PUI/COVID patients. AHTV learned a lot from her because of her trials and tribulations; we made the necessary changes to support the nursing staff. I recall a conversation with Kristin with worried and tearful eyes behind the mask when she was telling me about a patient, stating that he was going to die. Kristin didn't let him go down that path and encouraged him to fight. The last thing I heard was that the patient was still alive and on med surg unit AHB.
