On a traumatic day, her presence of stability and support meant everything and brought such comfort.
If there were a DAISY pageant, Kristin would be the Queen of the daisies. We had EXCELLENT care from each nurse we interacted with but Kristin's passion, care, and professionalism have left me days later so grateful to be under her charge. I had her the first night after delivery. Because of pp pre-eclampsia, I wasn't able to see one of my twins who was touch and go. As I balanced out from the magnesium drip, Kristen worked with the doctor and me to make sure it was safe to be away from my room to see my girls. She was patient, and kind, took picture of us meeting our girls (important in case it would have been the last time), and applied no pressure or hurry to wrap it up. On a traumatic day, her presence of stability and support meant everything and brought such comfort.

On the last day in the hospital, we were lucky to have Kristin again and I was overwhelmed from pumping, feeling like I was getting inconsistent advice and just lost. She touched me once - told me I was engorged, showed me how to work out the milk knots, HELPED me work out the milk knots, and checked back in several times before I left to make sure I was in less pain and more confident.

I'm now 4 days postpartum and producing 50+ ml of milk and doing it comfortably and with actual joy! All because of Kristin and her patience, expertise, and professionalism. I won't even lie that I cried leaving my babies and cried thinking I won't be able to be under her care again! Thank you Kristin for sharing your passion for others and life purpose - you will be a well-loved memory from this extraordinary time in my life.
