Kym has represented herself as a compassionate, yet motivated individual. Kym's willing disposition and pleasant attitude carry over to her patient care. As we all know it takes a special person to become a nurse, it's clearly obvious that Kym focuses on the quality of care and outcome of patients. Many patients speak highly of Kym and she receives numerous compliments.
Kym went above and beyond for a recent chronic pain patient who is well known to our ED. Kym worked hard to establish a good relationship with her by working on a plan of care with her, including her in the plan so it wasn't just focused on one area. She listened to her thoughts and concerns and most of all she wasn't judgmental and gave the patient compassion, empathy, and the understanding the patient needed. Kym is always a great support whether it is for patients or staff!
