For starters, I never do something like this. I normally try to thank individuals for extraordinary service, but normally always leave it at that. However, Kyndal at Kennestone Hospital in labor and delivery was beyond all levels of expectations. My labor that slowly lasted a couple of weeks progressed extremely quickly one day. Kyndal walked my husband and me through every step calmly and with compassion. It was obvious she loves her job! Her positive energy helped me through every push. In all honesty when people have asked the name of the midwife/Doctor that delivered my baby girl I tell them that the nurse did it. She called for the midwife but by the time she arrived, she only had time to suit up and "catch" my daughter.

Kyndal had done all of the hard work, the coaching, the guiding, and the monitoring of my baby as she made her way into this world. Kyndal stayed with us caring for me and our baby girl post delivery. I told her I thought she was a rockstar, but feel she deserves more than that. She embodies everything the DAISY Award is about. My sister is also a nurse. I know how incredibly overworked and tired they are through the past year. It's heartwarming to have had a nurse who didn't for a second show any signs of how tough the past year has been.
