Lauren cared for my dad after surgery. He was intubated, still heavily sedated, but semi-aware of what was going on around him, able to communicate, but slow to respond. She was so patient and sweet, calling him dear when telling him what she was doing. There were many of us in and out that day and she made it a point to keep us informed and let us know what she was doing or what was happening next. She frequently asked if we had any questions and answered in a way that made sense to us. She frequently asked if there was anything we needed, which was above and beyond.
Lauren had a student nurse with her that day. Not only is she a wonderful nurse herself, she is a great role model and teacher to those learning their craft. She did a great job teaching while treating her student as a peer. Thank you, Lauren, for caring for my dad!
