I have two boys on the autism spectrum. We have been seeing Dr. I for years. Leah has been our primary contact when I call in in-between visits with Dr. I to report changes or challenges with my boys. This, fortunately, or unfortunately happens often. Fortunately, because I have her to work with us! She is compassionate, competent, and really gets my family's situation. I feel that the care for my boys has been impacted significantly by Leah and her attention to detail, professionalism and ability to relay information to Dr. I accurately and in a timely manner. Behavioral Health nurses have so much to deal with that the time she takes to do her job well is noticed. She is an amazing nurse and deserves to be recognized for the above and beyond that, she does every day. Most people don't recognize how much more she does - they just take it for who she is - because that is how she has always given service to her clients. She is consistent and caring.
In addition to her care on the phone with me, she is phenomenal with my children in person and they look forward to seeing Nurse Leah at their visits.
Please take the time to recognize this amazing nurse. She makes my life easier, therefore my children's lives easier and I know with Dr. I leaving, she will step up to the plate and her optimism will help get that department through the transition. You have a real gem there!
