Lee Ann was recently involved with a patient in a group home setting who was non-verbal and has behavioral challenges. She encountered some concerns while seeing the patient about things she was witnessing in the group home setting and promptly and properly reported them. She was an advocate for the patient who couldn't speak on his own behalf ensuring he was safely being cared and provided for. The Caresource case manager called me to compliment Lee Ann for being such an advocate for this patient who was unable to speak up for himself. She was impressed with Lee Ann's fortitude and thought she handled the situation very professionally.
