Mr. C was very touched by the care he received from Le'Shell during his hospital stay here on PCU. Mr. C said that you could tell that Le'Shell really cared about her patients and always had a smile on her face. She was always so kind and did a good job telling him about all his medicines before he left to go home. But what really stood out to him was one small act of kindness that, if you know Le'Shell, is something that she would not consider to be anything great, but something she would do to make her patients happy.
Mr. C is a retired plumber/construction worker and loves his coffee and toast for breakfast. Having a hard time getting through to room service, he made a small mention to Le'Shell. Next thing he knew, Le'Shell came back with a fresh cup of coffee and proceeded to go downstairs to pick up his toast. Mr. C stated that he was so touched she would go out of her way to do that. He said that when Le'Shell took care of you, she made you feel like family. The way she takes care of patients, it's not just a job, it's all love. I remember Mr. C's exact words which I thought was such a great compliment "if I were lucky enough to have a granddaughter, instead of grandsons, I would want her to be like Le'Shell".
