This is one of the many ways that Leslie applies her gentle touch to those that seek care.
Leslie Yocum is the ED Manager but she is a nurse first. This week, a gentleman sent the following message to a board member:
"I took my mom to the CCMH Emergency Room yesterday, after a fall, and we both received first-rate care. They were gentle with her and cheerful and kind and made her extremely comfortable. And docs were great too. She was admitted for a few days and they let me have a nice dinner with her in her room. The nurses' patience was exemplary. My family is enormously grateful for that hospital. The ER nurse named Leslie made a point of having a long conversation with my 101 year old mom. Very gentle and kind. Such a blessing."
This is one of the many ways that Leslie applies her gentle touch to those that seek care. Leslie has a passion for patients with addiction and treats those with such a diagnosis with as much dignity and respect as she would any patient. Leslie is a patient advocate first, often guiding the plan of care with a soft approach that exemplifies our mission: To provide health and medical care to individuals, families and work forces of the Ohio River Valley by contributing to their well-being in a manner that promotes outstanding health for all.
