When I was in pain and nervous about my surgery, he sat there and explained it to me at least three times and told me how I was going to be okay.
Liam has been the best nurse since I've been here for 12 days. Now, he does everything and anything he can for me, going as far as keeping my contacts from drying out because of a fun game app. He came with a cup and put a contact solution in it so I could soak my contacts. When I was in pain and nervous about my surgery, he sat there and explained it to me at least three times and told me how I was going to be okay. It was somewhat minor surgery, and they were just hoping to make it happen. I knew not to eat before because that was their biggest concern. He sat there with me and calmed me down. He is awesome. One day I slept through dinner and he offered to order me food even though I was gonna order for myself. He insisted on paying for it for me. He has also gone even further by as I had an ice pack bust on my bed, and I walked with a prosthetic device. He went as far as changing everything from me himself, getting me all new pillows, only pillowcases, and making pictures. Everything was set up. He set up everything around my bedside so I could just swing from one side to another to grab anything they needed when I had an issue with medication. He had a charge nurse, and then her manager came over and talked to me to get it settled on the day of surgery. He sat there and called me down and kept me calm until they took me for general anesthesia. I think Liam deserves this award because of his assistance and care of patients. He was my nurse for five days. And each time these days, for the best five days of my time here, thank you. If it were up to me, Liam would get the employee out of the month!
