Lindsay cared for our mother and our father like they were her own family and allowed our father to say goodbye to his bride.
I am writing on behalf of my father. When my mother was admitted to the ICU with COVID, Lindsay called to tell us that she was not doing well. Dad made the choice to keep her comfortable. While there are many of us kids and grandkids, we could not make it to visit. Lindsay worked hard to help get Dad to the hospital to say his final goodbyes. She went above and beyond by making sure that he could leave his own quarantine and helped arrange transportation to the hospital. She not only helped him get there to say goodbye, but she also used her phone to make numerous FaceTime calls to her children and grandchildren so that we could all say goodbye. She made sure Dad had a bite to eat and tended to him while he sat with Mom. She stayed hours after her shift and she and her husband helped Dad get back to his home and made sure he got inside. She cared for our mother and our father like they were her own family and allowed our father to say goodbye to his bride. We can never thank her enough for these kind actions that helped us all say goodbye.
