Lynda Lane is the "Queen of Compassion".
The goals/pillars of this hospital include that of "compassion". Lynda Lane is the "Queen of Compassion". You feel the true caring of someone who serves people and loves her profession. Sometimes procedures are frightening but fears are rapidly set aside just having her near. Her calming manner makes you feel someone really cares.
I first met this nurse when I came to radiology for an insertion of a JP drainage tube, upset and fearful. She told me the step-by-step procedure and reassured me. The procedure went just as she said. Within a month, I was back to radiology for a new JP drain. I got the same compassion, same reassurance as before. Today I returned the third time. I received the same as before. This was for a stress test. Compassion, care, and support come so naturally. I have to believe Lynda gives her all to each patient and they feel what I feel. It's the human touch. Just being in the room with her. The way she can explain the "fear" away. The details of the procedure precise. The caring completely evident. This is Compassion defined. Her devotion to nursing and personality is well defined in the care rendered. I thank her from the heart for helping this 75-year-old lady forget her fears. The walking, talking "aura" of compassion. Thank you! Thank you!
