Cecilia is a beacon of hope and encouragement.
My husband battled CLL under a very competent oncologist in Makati Medical Center. During chemotherapy sessions, Ms. Ma. Cecilia P. Paje, would give instructions with clear explanations of the procedures rendered. She establishes rapport with so much ease, rendering the patient and relatives in a comfortable state. She peeped into our cubicle every now and then to check if things are going well. She is direct with her responses but with a softness of voice. In spite of everything, my husband died at peace in 2009.
In 2020, my son was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, again under the same doctor. With the beautiful experience of how the cancer care nurses, headed by Ms. Cecilia Paje with her team, I cannot bring my son to another hospital. My family and I went back to MMC with a very light heart to once more experience the compassionate, committed, and very considerate team of nurses not only to the patient but also to the family members. She is a very jolly person, and fun to be with. A very simple lady and above all a God-fearing person.

Ces has also taken care of me when I was undergoing chemotherapy March of 2013 and now that my mom, too has cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy herself, Ces is a beacon of hope and encouragement. Her compassion and empathy go beyond her call of duty.
