Makayla provides compassionate care to all her patients and she continues to go above and beyond for family and patients. She always shows a professional attitude when assisting families who may be difficult. Makayla has spent several hours teaching families of medically complex children to prepare them for home. She recently helped to teach a family who did not speak English or know how to read in their language. Makayla was very patient when teaching with the interpreter. On her own time, Makayla made a picture rooming schedule for father to understand.
Makayla also took care of a patient that we withdraw care on. Makayla did an awesome job making sure the patient was comfortable and the family's needs were met. She is always compassionate and can easily make a connection with families. Makayla is always advocating for her families and patients. She is a team player and is always willing to help others out.
