I want to thank White Memorial for having a wonderful person and an extraordinary nurse like RN Maria Velazquez. Honestly, I don't think there are words to describe what Maria did for my family and my mom after she had a stroke. I have to emphasize that Maria was very helpful and compassionate towards us and took excellent care of my mother.
So far, we haven't met a nurse like Maria. She has a great work ethic with a huge heart, compassion, and love for patients and her profession.
My mom had a stroke and she was feeling a deep sadness and was very negative. But everything changed when we met this angel named Maria Velazquez because she came as a ray of light in a very hard situation for my mom and my family. She gained our trust very quickly with her sincere personality and positive attitude. We couldn't be more thankful for having her for 4 days of taking care of my mom and constantly encouraging her that she was in good hands and that she had nothing to worry about.
Besides her great care, she went above and beyond by educating us by explaining the benefits of the 'Heparin Drips.' My mom prayed to God and told Maria that she was putting her life in her hands, and Maria gently smiled and reassured her that the medicine usually makes the patient feel better.
Maria has extraordinary customer service and an incredible empathy towards the patients and families. Once again, thanks, White Memorial for having extraordinary nurses like Maria Velazquez.
