I just finished ten days of stay at Lancaster General Hospital and must say that I am overwhelmed by the professionalism demonstrated by all of your nurses. However, in my opinion, Marisa stood out in all categories as she consistently showered compassion and care on me as a patient. At the beginning of her shift, she made it a point to come in and ask how I was doing and then reassured me that if there was anything I needed to just press my call button.
As she delivered my daily pills she would explain the purpose of each and again reassured me that they were for my own good.
It was not one specific situation that made Marisa stand out as she consistently exhibited concern and made you feel good and that you knew you were being well cared for.
It was obvious to me, I was the important one in the room and Marisa would do everything possible to see that my health would improve.
My wife and children, who visited often, commented after observing Marisa, "You really have a good nurse." On more than one occasion.
In my opinion, Marisa is an outstanding nurse and a real plus for Lancaster General Hospital. We, who live in this area, are most fortunate to have someone as talented and professional as Marisa.
