My coworker, Marsha Stone, works as the charge nurse in the operating room at the Surgery Center at Health and Wellness. She exhibits so many characteristics of an exceptional nurse. Not only is she a rock-solid operating room nurse, but she is also patient with staff and physicians, quietly going about her charge nurse duties. Nothing seems to ruffle her even with the hectic pace of a busy operating room. She is fair, honest, and quick-witted. She is even-tempered with staff. These qualities are not all easily accomplished on some days in the busy OR!! She is an advocate for patients and coworkers. An excellent communicator.
She is quick to lend staff to help out in other departments while she jumps in to take their places. It's always a pleasant conversation as she helps to figure out a way to help others, even if it requires her to do more. She is a team player in all aspects.
Marsha is such an asset to our Surgery Center and is very deserving of being recognized.
