Mary truly embraced all of the Essential values of a nurse, but the one thing that made a difference for the patient was that Mary looked beyond the wound and medications, and asked questions about the patient's perception of what was going on. The patient felt like Mary was her partner in the journey back to wellness. This approach highlighted the values of respect and hospitality. Sometimes we don't realize how important those things are to the patient. She taught the patient and the family that the values of the organization play a key part in the healing process.

She not only provides top notch, exceptional quality patient focused care each and every shift, but continually works to foster that important trust based relationship between the patient and the care giver.
