Maureen Swig not only goes above and beyond but literally out of her way to create an exceptional patient care experience for our patients. Maureen will take patients on an already full Mohs recheck schedule to make sure the patient is given the prompt correct patient care or just to give the patient the reassurance they are looking for. It doesn't matter to her how busy it makes her day. Maureen is the first person to help out her team even when she has her own job assignment to do. Maureen never says... "that's not my job". Maureen is always concerned for the safety of the patients as well as the staff, pointing out potential hazards and coming up with possible solutions to rectify the situation. If Maureen sees the department will be shorthanded on her day off or a day she was to be on vacation, she will offer to come in to help. Maureen makes every patient feel as if they are her top priority and they are. Many patients remember Maureen and specifically ask for her by name and reference her kindness. Maureen is an asset to the Mohs department as well as to KP in the sense her acts of kindness get spread via word of mouth and that's exactly what we want to be spread in the community about KP and the care that we give.
