While Megan was working the exemplary level of care she exhibited along with the compassion and transparency in dealing with our family was unlike I’ve ever seen in this situation.
In the last year, my Mother has been in the CCU unit at McLaren Bay Region twice. During her first lengthy stay, she was blessed to be under the care of an amazing nurse named Megan. While Megan was working the exemplary level of care she exhibited along with the compassion and transparency in dealing with our family was unlike I’ve ever seen in this situation.
Megan treated my Mother like she was her own and by the end of her hospital stay, she felt more like a friend of the family than a RN at the hospital. There was an ease when we would come to visit and see that Megan was the RN assigned to my Mother knowing that she was under the best possible care.
Megan went above and beyond to ensure my Mother was taken care of above and beyond any expectations we could have had and raised the bar for any future situations. During an unfortunate second trip to the CCU a couple of months later once Megan saw that my Mother was back in her unit, she checked in on her and came and talked to her and ensured that the RN that was assigned to her care kept her high standard of care. In conclusion, my entire family is truly indebted to Megan for her exemplary job and for helping all of us through an amazingly difficult time. She is a true blessing to the nursing profession and McLaren Bay Region’s CCU is a better place for having her.
