Megan was recognized for the extraordinary care of a patient and family. Through her interaction with the patient and family members, Megan discovered that the patient taught Sunday School to teens in her church, but really loved helping in the nursery. Megan had recently had a baby. On her day off, Megan brought her baby to the hospital to visit with the patient. The patient lit up with seeing the baby. The patient was sent home with hospice and passed away within 24 hours. Megan attended the viewing and the funeral to continue supporting the family. She demonstrated great care and compassion for the patient and family. Megan lives our core values and the ministry of our organization.
