Melissa has continuously and constantly gone above an beyond. After the CNC retired, the Operating Room needed someone to manage the day to day operations. Melissa volunteered and jumped in and has done an outstanding job. She balances ever changing schedules with surgeons, OR staff, inpatient floor, Preop and the recovery room. She ensures every case is properly staffed, has the proper equipment and starts on time. She helps with room turnovers, and calls surgeons to remind them of their surgery start times.

Every day Melissa ensures the operating rooms all run smoothly and helps out with breaks and lunches to ensure the staffing get their required breaks. She has organized the desk, she created a loan out log for equipment, ensures all sales reps are cleared and signed in, and ensures the next staffing is posted. She also assists with maintaining productivity by ensuring the staff are flexed off when needed fairly by keeping track of all staff flexed off hours. She consistently works late to ensure everything is done and has helped me as the new director tremendously. I cannot thank her enough for the outstanding job she has done.
