Nurse Melissa eased my nerves prior to surgery more than any other nurse ever has. My husband couldn't be with me before surgery, so I was alone and very scared, and between her and my anesthesiologist, I felt like I was with friends. They both had me laughing and I felt comforted in a scary time. She talked me through every part of the surgery and what to expect and cared for me like I was a friend. She wanted me to go in with the best feelings possible.

I am recently postpartum and she asked how I was feeling and we discussed postpartum anxiety. She and my anesthesiologist encouraged me to take care of myself and get back into therapy. This was so above and beyond and meant a lot to me. She even came to visit me and give me a hug in post-op and let my husband know I was okay. I'm so grateful for her. Although I hope not to need surgeries in the future, if she was my nurse, I know it would be a great experience.
