Michelle makes connections with our patients in a way no one else can she bonds with them during some of the most difficult times of their lives. Michelle takes it upon herslf to educate every new cancer patient. She puts them at ease before the journey begins so they know what to expect. She will take the time during rounds each day to make sure their needs are met and they understand their chemo regimen and other treatment plans. Michelle always becomes a part of each patient's life as she gets to know everyone who is important to that patient and their surroundings.

We need more nurses like her around as she will dance with you when you need it most. It is not strange or uncommon to see Michelle singing or dancing with patients, families, physicians and staff just when they need it. When all your "familiar" is disappearing and you can no longer be in control, you need to laugh, sing and dance. It is an absolute pleasure to have the gift that Michelle is on our team. She is the same nurse who will remove her jacket and get involved when our team members need help. Cancer nursing is very difficult but is also a most rewarding field. No one forgets Michelle, when they get discharged they can be seen coming back in to visit her and at times to show her how well they are doing.

Michelle, you make us all want to dance and sing along with you and we thank you for giving of your soul to our patients and their families as well as our family here on 4 NT.
