Nadine sat with me and talked me through my struggles until I felt better.
I was diagnosed unexpectedly with an aggressive form of leukemia. Within days of my abnormal blood work, I was admitted in the hospital to undergo procedures, monitoring and treatment. The experience was a whirlwind and emotional, especially given that my wife was 7 months pregnant with our first child. Nadine not only provided exceptional care and was knowledgeable about my treatment, she was caring and provided emotional support for me and my family during this time. She became like family to us. She knew how to make us laugh and knew when we needed encouragement and comfort during my hospital stay. She not only asked and advocated for what I needed, but checked in on my wife and family. During one of my first nights in the hospital, I was struggling with pain and with processing my diagnosis. Nadine sat with me and talked me through my struggles until I felt better. She went above and beyond in making sure I was okay. I will forever be thankful for Nadine. I truly believe she played a pivotal part in my treatment and healing. The world is a better place with nurses and people like Nadine.
