On Christmas Eve, at the end of her shift, we were making walking rounds and our patient was upset because he was expecting to be discharged that day. Nancy stayed late to call MD's and stayed to calm the patient. The patient was not able to be discharged on Christmas Eve.

Nancy went out of her way to stay and listen to his concerns, take action and get him answers. She did not leave that night until her patient's feelings, concerns, and complaints had been solved.

On this day of the year, when many would have clocked out and gone on with their plans, she put her patient before herself. Nancy is conscientious, caring, and a great nurse to follow.
