I do not know where to begin but I know that if you were to dig deep into the meaning of nursing, you will find every quality in Natasha. “Tasha” as we so fondly call her is an amazing human being on the inside and outside. One example of such was of a selfless act for a patient on our unit.

Tasha was assigned to a patient who had not been able to see their significant other in nine months due to isolation restrictions in the care facility. When she found out that a reunion was going to happen the next day, she did the only selfless thing of which she could think of. On her way to work the next day, she stopped by a flower shop and purchased a bouquet of flowers for her patient to present to their significant other. I can tell you, there were no dry eyes in sight at the selfless act of this beautiful colleague now turned sister of mine. Even as I write, I cannot help but be emotional. I am sure her patient would forever remember this moment knowing that when they were unable to, one of Providence’s nurses stood up for them and made the reunion with their significant other incredibly special.

Natasha is simply extraordinary. This is only one of the many acts of selflessness she exhibits. If I were to start writing about all the extraordinary measures, I will not have enough space to do so. Tasha goes above and beyond for all her patients and if I were to be half the nurse she is, then I would have achieved something great in life. She inspires me to be more every day.
