Nicole is one of the most compassionate and caring nurses I have come across in a long time. She is flexible, educated, well-rounded and a pleasure at all times to patients, family and staff. She is conscientious in every aspect of her job and whenever a crisis arises, she is always there to perform above the best of them and handle every situation with the best BMH nursing has to offer. As a team member of the Endoscopy/Medical Surgical Progressive Unit team, she works with cancer patients and actively works in the community to raise money and volunteer for Colon Cancer Awareness. She is also a member of the Recognition & Retention committee. She also works on 3C and is so positive when she is asked- puts in a few hours to cover a shift problem, overflow post-ops or discharges. She has covered the unit when the PCM was out for 3 months and managed HR, JCAHO, and DOH visits in a professional manner. She is an exceptional organizer and has reorganized many parts of the Endo unit to function more efficiently. She has perfected working in the OR doing ERCP procedures and in currently continuing her education at Villanova. It's because of nurses like Nikki that we are a Magnet hospital and make BMH a better place to work. Nikki's famous quote: "treat them like they're one of your family members!"
