She asked my daughter and me to email her pictures and she went and had them developed, printed, and hung them ALL around his room!
My husband had surgery due to having esophageal cancer. He was going to spend 1 night in ICU however, he suffered several complications and had to say in ICU for 16 days. For most of his stay in ICU, I could not come and be with him due to COVID restrictions. On approximately day 10 in ICU, my husband was praying to die! He could not eat or drink anything due to having an NG tube in and because of all the other complications. Nora was his nurse on that evening. She sat with him talked with him, listened to him, and comforted him. She took the time to call me to ask what one thing I think would make him smile! She asked my daughter and me to email her pictures and she went and had them developed, printed, and hung them ALL around his room! WOW, what an example of a caring, empathetic nurse! She also facetimed with us the next day after she helped my husband to clean up after 10 days! It was awesome to finally see his face. Nora was truly a nurse that changed my husband’s mindset and is our ICU angel. Aurora is so very lucky to have her.
