I was a patient on the 5th floor at DCMH for four days. My nurse, Noreen Ruddy, was so bright and cheerful, kind, caring, compassionate and extremely competent.
I needed much attention on Sunday evening and I know it was a very busy night. She was at my bedside many times that evening. She could not do enough for me despite being called because assistance was needed in other rooms. At one time when I called her she gave me a sponge bath, changed the bedding and would not leave the room until I was comfortable.
Everything was done with a smile and TLC. I am sure that she never took a break that evening as her only concern was her patients.
That night was a turning point for me and I attribute my recovery to her attention and excellent care. She is a wonderful nurse and one of the kindest human beings I have ever met.
