Oneil Michael is a very strong, conscientious worker. He takes excellent care of his patients and treats all patients and visitors with respect and kindness. He is patient and calm at all times, even during highly stressful situations. He has a distinctive manner of work - always careful and methodical and detail oriented.

Oneil used to work the night shift. I was always glad to follow him because he left his assignment with everything done and his patients' needs were all addressed. Oftentimes, patients would comment on how well he took care of them. Oneil is now working the day shift and when I come to work and see Oneil, I know I'll have a partner to turn to for help if I need it. He helps without hesitation and never a complaint. Oneil is the first one to pitch in and help his fellow nurses. He's easy going and pleasant, and is quick to use humor to deal with stressors in the unit.

When family members ask questions, Oneil will patiently address all their concerns in a professional, thorough, and caring manner. He is trustworthy, intelligent, hard-working, and kind. He epitomizes perfectly what we look for in a nurse and is an excellent candidate for the DAISY Award.
