We are writing to recommend with the greatest enthusiasm Nurse Peter Sumbillo. It has been our pleasure to have Peter as one of our primary nurses during the past six months as patient L has undergone chemotherapy at Kaiser Foundation Hospital (Ten South) in Oakland. Peter has consistently been the consummate professional in his skillful and careful administration of medications. Indeed, we have been so impressed by his care that we have compiled a photographic record of him in action. Attached are a couple of these photos. You'll notice not only Peter's professional care but also his human touch of compassion. Indeed, this is what is most remarkable about his nursing--he combines medical expertise with the warmth of his caring personality.
What a patient seeks most, of course, is healing. And we understand healing is more than just a banishment of disease; it is a wholeness in body, mind, and spirit. Peter is a key player in the marvelous team of Kaiser healers; always giving L his total attention and care. To him, we are most grateful.
