This team included several members of the Department of Nursing Professional Development/Education including Tombie Dunmore, Octavia Lawston, Shelby Shineldecker, Kaylynne Murn, Virginia Clary, along with Joan Hepburn (Informatics), Edwin Triplett (first responder, Informatics), Paul Langevin (Simulation), Alex Gaspar (Dialysis, assisted team to acquire the crash cart) were involved.
They were quick to intervene when an employee in New Nurse Orientation exhibited signs that she was unwell and proceeded to code.
By jumping in quickly to start CPR and provide early defibrillation, the team was successful in saving this new staff member's life.
This is only one recent example of the exemplary teamwork that this group routinely practices in order to serve employees and beyond.
