Becky is a kind and caring nurse with her patients. One day she cared for a gentleman who was dying. No family had been to see him that day. Becky took time to hold his hand and talk to him. She found his Bible with scripture outlined. Becky sat and read the outlined scripture to this person; a person she barely knew; a person who was speechless; a person who was unconscious; a person alone and dying. I asked her why she chose to read. She replied "If it was my father I wouldn't want him to die alone. Those were his scriptures outlined; it was the right thing to do."
Becky was a brand-new nurse when she did that. I never forgot the compassion she showed her patient that day. I'm proud to say today she is still acting with kindness towards others and has excelled in her profession.
