Gina dealt with a patient who was extremely sensitive to pain. The patient came into the triage area crying out in pain with every contraction, when her IV was started, and throughout the spinal procedure. She was screaming so much so that the anesthesiologist was unable to complete the spinal and the patient ended up receiving general anesthesia. The patient's mother was at her side, trying to control the situation and was very upset that she was unable to be with her daughter during her C-section. The patient and family remained challenging during the recovery period in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
