Mrs. Rhodora was by my side when I woke up in ICU and comforted me when the surgeon informed me the procedure was unsuccessful. I had already been in the hospital for 3 days and transferred to 2 different hospitals prior to HCA Houston Healthcare West. I was distraught knowing I'd be away from my two small children any longer. There were brief periods of time where I was alone and my family was 1.5 hours away and Mrs. Rhodora would bring me company during her downtime to make me feel more comfortable.
My last day with Mrs. Rhodora, I was anxious and deeply upset because I was alone and missed my children, Mrs. Rhodora reassured me I was under the best care of physicians and nurses and that everything would be okay and I believed and felt every word she said. She comforted me and offered to pray for me before her shift ended.
The care and compassion Mrs. Rhodora showed me those 2 very long days in ICU, was unlike any care I've ever received or have ever encountered even working in healthcare myself for over 10 years. She went absolutely above and beyond to give me the best care and I'm extremely grateful for her. I know a phenomenal nurse when I see one and will continue to praise Mrs. Rhodora Villamero!
