As a patient with chronic kidney disease, I am in and out of the hospital either for my hemodialysis treatment or confinement in cases that complications such as pneumonia or other infections occur to me. It has been hard coping up with this kind of disease and at the same time handling a position in the military. As a military officer, it is very hard for me to maintain my finest performance and at the same time be strong for my disease condition. Yet, I have achieved the balance of both with the help of nurses at Nephrology Ward and Renal Unit. I would like to have a special mention to Rinalor Mayhay, RN. It is with her utmost dedication to duty and keen observation to complications that might occur to patients that I am much secured to be admitted in this institution. She is a friend, and a sister whom you can trust and depend upon. With her, patients feel a sense of security and belonging. An essential feeling that goes beyond clinical touch which immensely contributed to the improvement of the patient's health. Truly one of the Nightingales of her time.
