When starting ports, Robby always takes the time to explain the process to the patient and make them feel as comfortable as possible, easing as much tension prior to any procedure the patient is about to undergo.
During several emergency calls, Robby would drop everything and run to the other side of the department to help and is usually the first responder and the last to leave when not needed anymore, always making sure that the patient no longer is in any need of help. I have seen several examples when patients seem to have little or no IV access and Robby gets them on the first try, all while making the patient comfortable, smiling, and cracking jokes. Oftentimes, patients ask for Robby by name when they come because they know he will get it done quickly and painlessly.
Robby is a great asset to patients and is constantly striving to educate them on everything from exams to types of procedures to answering billing questions if he is able to. Robby does everything he can to ensure patients are well cared for and satisfied prior to leaving.
