Robert is amazing with his patients and always goes the extra mile to make his patients' stay in the recovery room a pleasure. He is highly attentive to their every need down to the finest detail like vaseline to moisturize their lips. Robert loves music and often asks his patients who may have a prolonged stay in the PACU due to bed inavailability if they would like to listen to music, if so he plays their favorite tunes. He is extremely conscientious in his practice being diligent to provide care based on best practices with safety at the forefront.
Robert is always looking for ways to improve patient care and often suggests new ways of providing care to maintain the high standards we have set here at Hoag. He is continuously helpful and supportive of the team.
Robert is consistently recognized for his care and concern towards his patients by both the patients and their family members. It is not unusual to receive a call from a patient taking the time to recognize Robert for his care in the PACU. The PACU can be an area where the patients do not always remember their stay, however they seem to remember Robert.
His attention to detail is phenomenal and second to none. He has an excellent rapport with all units in the hospital along with the medical staff. Robert carries his kind demeanor and caring nature outside the hospital walls to the community in his daily routine. He volunteers to help those in need, and is often seen lending a hand to the less fortunate.
Robert volunteered to go to India with the Plasticos group where he recovered patients undergoing surgery for facial anomalies and burns. Robert was the co-chair at Childrens Needs Taskforce of Huntington Beach where needy children were given opportunities in the form of education and scholarships. Robert you are a pleasure to work with and it is wonderful to have you as part of the PACU family.
Congratulations, an award well deserved!!
