My husband was on 5 heart before he passed away. All his nurses were excellent; we couldn't have asked for better care. He had a field of DAISY's taking care of him but right in the middle of that field stood a DAISY with a few petals missing on top, Ronnie Suber. I don't know if it was because they were both bald, they just seemed to click. I have been around nurses all my life, from family members to working with them, and I have never encountered a more caring, supportive and compassionate nurse.
Ronnie worked the weekend night shift and during the week my husband would ask when Ronnie was coming back. I told him that he would be back on Friday and he would smile and say, "That's good." I think he wanted Ronnie there when he passed. My husband felt more at ease when Ronnie was there. I was so thankful that Ronnie was working 5 out of the 9 nights my husband was in the hospital. Ronnie was there when my husband passed in the wee hours of the morning, caring diligently for him and supporting our family. Thank you for being you, our angel in scrubs!
