she brought professionalism and calmness to the room.
Not enough words express how Samara Hunn was my angel during my delivery while at Emory. As a healthcare business owner, I always look for staff willing to go over and beyond at work, especially in patient care. I started my induction by being over 41 weeks pregnant and was terrified at the thought of having my first baby. As soon as Samara (whom I call Sammie) walked in, she brought professionalism and calmness to the room. My entire family was there, including my parents, and we were just blown away by the level of expertise and professionalism that this young lady displayed. In the middle of my labor, I lost almost 2 liters of blood, and Sammie held my hand the entire time. She gave me the confidence to make it out alive for my daughter. I don't know if I would be here today without her excellent medical knowledge, calming demeanor, and encouraging words. As an owner of a healthcare practice, I know it takes a lot of work to find good help. However, Emory is blessed to have outstanding, competent team members. Having her hold my hand as I pushed my 8-pound baby out while losing 2 liters of blood-fighting for my life, it was Sammie who helped me believe I could do this. There's nothing like having someone like Sammie represent your hospital. The very next day, she came down and checked on me after clocking out for her previous shift, and that made me feel like I was not just a number but a family member of Emory. Because of Sammie, I will recommend this place to everyone I know! Samara, thanks for saving my life that day!
