Even among the outstanding caregivers that I had during my recent stay, Sandra stands out to me as one of the most compassionate and most professional nurses that I have known. Sandra never appeared rushed or impatient and handled and prioritized multiple concurrent requests calmly without losing her focus on the patient she was treating. She spoke to me as an equal, because she had taken the time to learn about my background in hospital administration. Most importantly, because of Sandra's communication skills, her professional skills, her compassion, and her ability to sense and answer the questions that I was afraid to ask, I felt that I had a partner and was able to concentrate on healing.
